- Apex Microtechnology develops and manufactures precision power analog monolithic, hybrid and open frame components for a wide range of industrial, test and measurement, medical, aerospace and defense applications. These devices are typically used to generate motion control, such as driving piezo electrical devices, and brush and brushless DC motors. With more than 300 catalog “off-the-shelf” products, Apex Microtechnology is a recognized leader for consistently developing products that lead the industry in terms of performance, quality, and reliability. Founded in 1980, Apex Microtechnology was acquired in 2007 by Cirrus Logic, a premier supplier of mixed-signal processing components for audio and energy markets. Following a five-year tenure as a division of the Austin, Texas, based developer of complex chip designs, Apex Microtechnology has returned to a stand-alone, privately-held corporation with its sale to a private investor group. The company is headquartered in Tucson, Ariz., USA.
